Gubinge

Gubinge is a native Indigenous superfood and has the highest natural source of Vitamin C of any plant on the planet. Gubinge has more than 100 times the Vitamin C content of Oranges. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that supports the immune system and acts as a scavenger for free radicals in the body.

Our Gubinge is harvested by the Nyul Nyul people in WA and has been used for well over 60,000 years as a traditional food source and bush herb, it is considered a gift of the Dreamtime.

Traditionally both the fruit and seed were eaten raw and used to treat skin conditions, colds and flu, High blood pressure and eye conditions such as macular degeneration, cataracts and vision problems to name a few. Little unknown benefit is that it is a natural internal insect repellent. It is high in Ellagic acid which may help damage or kill cancer cells and block tumor growth, but more research is needed. It also has a bunch of other nutrients and essential trace minerals such as Copper, Zinc, Calcium, Folate, Magnesium and Vitamin E. 

Your body naturally makes free radicals, usually as a result of normal metabolic processes and environmental stressors. Directions For Powder Use:

Adults: Use a teaspoon a day in filtered water, juice or add to smoothies, sprinkle over yoghurt or make into a paste and apply to the skin to make an anti-aging, super brightening face mask. 

Children: 1/4 -1/2 Teaspoon in water, juice or smoothies. Gubinge has a mild nutty flavour and can be mixed in yoghurt.
