Health Heiress – Wildcrafted Gubinge Powder (Kakadu Plum)

Gubinge is an Indigenous Australian superfruit revered for having the highest natural source of Vitamin C on the planet — over 100 times the amount found in oranges. Traditionally used by Aboriginal communities for thousands of years, Gubinge is considered a gift of the Dreamtime and valued for its powerful immune, skin, and cellular benefits.

Our Gubinge is wild harvested by the Nyul Nyul people in remote parts of Western Australia and freeze-dried to preserve its complete nutritional profile. This is a bioavailable wholefood, not a synthetic supplement — meaning your body recognises and absorbs it efficiently.

Aboriginal Medicinal Use*

For generations, First Nations Australians consumed both the fruit and seed of the Gubinge tree raw. It was traditionally used to support:

  • Colds, flu, and seasonal immunity

  • Inflammatory skin conditions and wound care

  • High blood pressure and cardiovascular health

  • Eye conditions including cataracts and macular degeneration

  • Protection against internal parasites and insects

Often carried as a sacred bush food on long journeys, it was also known to improve strength and resilience through changing seasons. It continues to be a symbol of vitality and ancestral medicine.

Health Benefits & Scientific Findings

Modern research confirms Gubinge contains:

  • The world’s richest natural concentration of Vitamin C (Usually around 5300mg/100g, ours has 7850mg/100g)

  • Ellagic acid – a polyphenol with potential anti-cancer properties (research shows it may inhibit tumour growth and aid in apoptosis of cancer cells)

  • High levels of antioxidants that protect DNA and reduce oxidative stress

  • Trace minerals: copper, zinc, calcium, folate, magnesium, vitamin E

Potential benefits may include:

  • Strong immune system support

  • Cellular protection from oxidative stress

  • Improved skin elasticity, brightness, and reduced hyperpigmentation

  • Possible defence against antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as Listeria and Staphylococcus aureus

  • Gentle support for eye, heart, and liver health

  • Natural antimicrobial activity and gut balance

  • Improved iron absorption and mitochondrial resilience

Gubinge is bioavailable, meaning it is well absorbed and utilised by the body — unlike many synthetic supplements that pass through without impact.
