This 100% natural, Australian-sourced product is rich in organic silica and trace minerals, making it a popular choice for pet owners seeking a clean, whole-food approach to everyday wellness.
Why Diatomaceous Earth for Pets?
Diatomaceous earth is a naturally occurring sedimentary mineral formed from fossilised freshwater diatoms. Its fine, porous structure and high silica content have made it traditionally used in animal husbandry to support parasite removal, flea control, internal hygiene, coat health, and environmental cleanliness.
When used appropriately, DE is valued for its gentle, non-chemical nature and versatility for both internal and external use.

How to Use - NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION
Daily Internal Feeding
- Give daily for minimum of 6 weeks for parasites and worms.
Mix into food or water:
-
Kittens & puppies: ½ teaspoon daily
-
Cats & dogs up to 10 kg: ½ teaspoon daily
-
10 kg to 20 kg: 1 teaspoon daily
-
20 kg to 40 kg: 2 teaspoons daily
-
Larger breeds (>40 kg): Adjust proportionally or seek veterinary guidance
Start gently and ensure your pet has access to plenty of fresh water.Â
Tip for fussy cats: Lightly dust the coat â natural grooming often provides sufficient intake.
Topical Use For Flea Treatments (Environment & Coat)
Unlike chemical flea treatments, fleas cannot develop resistance or immunity to Diatomaceous Earth (DE) because it works mechanicallyâby physically abrading and dehydrating the fleas' exoskeletonsârather than through any chemical process.
For effective flea control on your pets using Health Heiress DE for Pets:
To maximize contact and effectiveness (and minimize the amount they shake off immediately), try this gentle application method: Â
- Wrap your pet snugly in an old towel or blanket. Â
- Gently rub the DE into their coat for about 5 minutes, working it through the fur to reach the skin where fleas hide. Â
- Focus on key areas like the neck, back, base of tail, and belly (avoid eyes, nose, mouth, and genitals). Â
- Let them out of the towel afterwardâmost of the powder will stay on the coat longer, giving it time to work on killing fleas.
This technique helps ensure better coverage and longer-lasting action while keeping the process safe and mess-free. Always apply in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling the dust yourself. For best results, combine with regular vacuuming of bedding and home environments.
If your pet has sensitive skin or respiratory issues, start with a light test application and consult your vet first. đżđđą
